The program features BSO Assistant Conductor Marcelo Lehninger leading the orchestra in the composer's Piano Concerto No. 5 ("Emperor") featuring Gabriela Montero in her BSO debut, and Symphony No. 5. This is the first time in recent history that the BSO has added a concert to the schedule mid-season.
